Your <= $1,000 C&R wishlist

I posted this on Arfcom, but I know many people here don't visit there, and I wan't your opinions too.

Let's for a second assume none of us own any C&R firearms. You have nothing. You have been given a credit card with a meer $1,000 limit that you can only spend on C&R rifles. What would you get?

1. Must be C&R
2. Must be a firearm(s)
3. Maximum of 5 firearms
4. Must be commercially available now
5. Have fun!


Ok, for me I would probably end up getting:
K-31 with walnut stock
Persian Mauser
K-98
Enfield No4Mk1
Fin M39

I probably couldn't fit all five in, but I would sure as hell try. What about all of you?

If I could only have 5 or $1000.00 in guns here is how I would go. I collect/gathering rifles for survival, hunting, and target shooting so here is what I would get the following.

1) SKS x 2 260.00
2) CZ52 Pistol x 1 150.00
3) East German Makarov x 1 325.00
4) Finish M39 x 1 250.00

If California didn't suck... I'd put the $1000 down on a SVD and then collect the next couple thousand from a couple months from now for the next guy who puts up a poll like this one

you might get close to 1000 on that, maybe more like 1200-1500

An unissued Persian 98/29 or Hakim or Lunjman. Any cash left over from the one I purchased would go to 30-06 ammo.

Just for your info there are grades of aluminum (2024, 6061, 7075 ect and the T on the end only means that the material is Heat treated) that are considered aircraft and other materials like stainless steel 303,304,316,347 ect and titanium as well

for titanium check this link here you will see some aircraft that have used this material since the mid 50,s Titanium 6ALV4 for one

I'l also go with a K98 non-capture and as original as can be found in pristine condition.
