    So I might be picking this rifle up, what do you guys think?? This the the description


    Austrian Steyr M95 Carbine 8x56R - Very Good Plus/Excellent Grade. Bore is very good.

    Bought from a collector a few years back. The overall quality of the barrel, bluing and stock are excellent (I can email better pics upon request). Comes with a quality leather sling, (60) NIB rounds of Hornandy 8x56r Hungarian Mann. and (4) original Austrian/German magazines (2 have the German 1930's Swastika stamp). Transfer will be processed by gun dealer in Cupertino.

    DETAILS:
    Straight pull bolt action, Flip-up rear sight w/elevation adjustments, windage adjustable front sight, 5 round box magazine, full length hand-guard, sling swivels, quality leather sling.

    OVERALL LENGTH:39.5"
    WEIGHT:7.03 LBS

      Are you getting two for that price?

      And you're paying for a transfer?

      *Clips not magazines in this case. Wood is refinished, and frankly the metal looks refinished, too - but I am not an expert.
      If you have a 03 these are usually about $150 max from any of the usual C&R dealers.
      They are not enormous fun to shoot - you will find most other than the ardent collectors trade them on fairly soon after shooting them for the first time, consequently there are always a few for sale or trade around the various collecting boards.

          That's waaaay too much. This is the most common variant of this rifle.

          You can buy these from SOG for $109, +$10 for hand select today if you wanted to.

          You can sometimes find original late 1930's ammo for about $20 a box. A box is 2 clips with 5 round on each

          Original leather slings (not the more common bulgarian ones) are not easy to find and are pricey, so are bayonets if you eventually want to get one.
