Posted a thread a couple of weeks back about a Lee Speed I found with the Antique tag on it - meaning I could cash n carry. Just like being in a free state. The interior of the barrel was rough as boots, even after a couple of patches down it is the store but I figured that i could work on it and it was cheap because of the bore. the most effective method i have found of cleaning bores effected by corrosive ammo is to shoot 20 rounds fast then clean it HOT with hoppes No.9 soaked patches and a bore snake so I did this. It cleaned up a treat and the action is as smooth as ANY Enfield I've fired (which is a lot). Some pics below (if i loaded them right).
1: Rifle. 2: Rear sight, note flip up for 100, 200 and 300 yards and sliding sight for longer ranges. 3: Some of the engraving on it - this is all over the place and is beautiful. 4: Target - 6 inch black from 100 yards. Sellier & Bellot 174 gr Boat tail. Confident it will do better when I get round to reloading some flat base bullets but quite happy anyway for a 115 year old rifle.
