    Mauser bolt

    Is it ok to swap the bolt from one yugo Mauser to another
    I have one with straight and the other with bent
    Also would it be ok to swap the bolt from yugo to other mausers as well
    Thanks for your advice

    You will need to check your headspace. Get a field gauge or a set of Go No Go gauges and you will know for sure.

      Yugoslavian (and Mexican) Mausers have a slightly shorter ("intermediate") action than other 98 Mausers so the bolts, stocks and trigger guards are not interchangeable with other 98 Mausers.

        Did the Russians check headspace on the millions of Mausers that they reworked?
        How common is it for surplus Mausers to have headspace problems that render them inoperable?
        I know, I know, just get the gages. But I still wonder.
