Took the Chinese SKS out ( finally)

Today I finally got around to cleaning all the cosmo out of the SKS that peppermintman sold me a couple of months ago. Took my time with the bolt . I went out to rosamond for some bLm land shooting. I shot some slugs , my p89 and then my SKS . Shot 3 boxes of 122gr Tula. Those were just to make sure it shot ...had a couple of failure to feed. And one box of MFS 125gr. This box was shot seriously. However my shoulder was cooked from the slugs. Shot 2 10 round sets. Here's a pic of the one I saved. 50 yards ...sitting position . Took me a few rounds to find my POA for the desired POI. The two on the far right we're trigger jerks

Thanks ! I was going to redo the wood a darker tint but looking at it now I see no point. I Shout out to peppermintman for the deal.

Wow it cleaned up nicely and shoots good at 50 but how about 100 yards? Maybe you don't need any more adjusting. Mine shot high and to the left too but got them in at 100 yardz using this tool. It won't damage your fsb, it has beveled corners and won't put any dents on it when you turn the t-handle. Nice rifle keep shooting it and I'm sure you'll like it more and more. Its a keeper

That is one fine looking chicom. I agree with peppermintman, see what she does at 100 yrd range. I was getting about same results at 50 yrds, moved to 100 yrds and I got 9 of 10 shots in a 6" group @ 100 yrds with my sks. I will take that with irons any day with my "older man eyes"

Hmmm.. P89 and an SKS. Now there is a combo of weapons that is sure to survive the next ice age. A P89DC was my first handgun bought when I turned 21 and I still have it. SKS...kinda meh on those but I guess some of you guys like em.

My P89 was my first ever firearm. Bought it when my oldest was born 5 years ago. Then I put a crimson tracer laser grip on it that cost almost as much as the pistol...SMH. I don't think I will ever get rid of it though .. Shoots every thing I feed it
