7.7x58mm ammo?

Been having a hell of a time finding this anywhere. I know it's a rather rare and outdated cartridge but I just acquired a type 99 and I'd like to put some rounds through it. Anyone have any inside info on where I can find a few hundred rounds of this stuff?

Few guys at gunshow sell it. This Orange Co. show they will be there. His name is Harry, and he's in the building where the show promoters are. He is opposite them on the other wall. It is 27.00 a box of 20 I think.

Lee once made a small loader called the Lee Loader for both the 7.7 and 6.5 Arisaka round. They discontinued it for some reason, but they do surface on eBay. This is about the most bare bones as you can get. The Lee Hand Press is actually where I got my start reloading for my Arisakas.
Also, do a search on Mr. Nambu on the internet. He sells affordable ammo for a variety of firearms. And yes, he'll ship to California.

Excellent ammo, but not for casual use. Prices are simply STUPID on Arisaka ammo as of late.

I don't know where you are located, but a gun shop in San Carlos (imbert&smithers) has them for around $20.

After I got my Type 99 I ordered 200 rounds of brass, bullets and a set of dies and made my own ammo. It was half the price of buying ready to shoot ammo. And my type 99 proved to be a tack driver.
