    Remington Genesis Muzzle Loader

Have the opportunity to pick up a new-in-box remington genesis in a trade.

I have not been able to find much info about them other then they seem to have only been made a for a few years.

Anyone have one that can share any personal experience with one of these?

Im not really into muzzle loaders, but they seem a bit interesting. might not end up keeping it, but who knows.

thanks in advance for the input

i owned one while i lived in virginia to take advantage of the muzzleloader season..and the fact that hunting on MCB quantico was restricted to shotgun with slugs and muzzleloaders.

I found it to be a well built smoke pole, however not without its glitches. you MUST keep that cam (torch cam I think it was called) CLEAN and lubricated or else it WILL rust. and obviously like any other in line muzzle loader, the breech plug needs to be pulled and barrel well cleaned and waxed after each use.

I put a cheap fixed 6X scope on the one i had and pleasing accuracy with 100gr pyrodex and just about any sabot on the market, didnt have much success with the powerbelts

hope that helped! muzzle loading can be a real hobby within a hobby, have fun with it!
