    widners has romy 8mm

Just checked my email and found Romanian surplus in spam cans for sale. it says 70s production and not the best price but I had to get to cans. The shipping was like a slap in the face but I really need to feed my Hakim. Get it while its there.

Only bummer is that it's corrosive.

i used up a spam can of exactly this. its very dirty, magnetic, corrosive. i would not put it thru a semi like a g43 or an FN49.

great stuff for bolt actions tho, now that the yugo stuff appears to've disappeared.

It's the best milsurp 8mm made for semi autos, that's why it's dried up, and that's why it will sell out soon, even at that price. Spam cans on GB are averaging $280.
The Romanian powder produces the lowest pressures of all the milsurp 8mm, so it's easy on the action of your semi auto, and safe to use in small ring Mausers like the Turked 1903 and Gew88.
It also has a softer primer than most, especially the Yugo. It is corrosive, it is magnetic, and it is kinda dirty. After about 50rnds it'll leave a black oily soot in the chamber area, but it cleans right out.
Anyone that would prefer Yugo, I'll straight you straight across for it.

Why is the shipping so incredibly expensive on wideners!?

I like Wideners, but the shipping is always high. Spam cans of 8mm are getting scarce and they know it. It will sell out, high shipping and all. I keep a sealed can of it put away and shoot the junk ammo as much as possible.

Which performs better, the Yugo or Romanian 8mm?

Romy worked better for me, unless you're comparing it to the yugo m76 sniper ammo.
