Just picked up my first Enfield, question about markings?

I recently picked up a No 4 Mk1 not too long ago, but I'm clueless when it comes to C&Rs. Anyone have any info on what I have?

No ZF marks on the butt stock, or DP. No FTR markings anywhere.

M47 marked. Birmingham Small Arms? Under M47 is 1913? Then Serial #

Marked JC, then an arrow pointing up, then a unreadable mark, lastly M33 with M ontop of 33

    Correct Bayonet?

Next to the band marked WL

    Arrow pointing up, then W, B, L, 8

    Floorplate marked A, P

Bolt marked FY, MK 1 1

    Correct buttplate?

    thanks

I only have one and don't know that much about them, but I have a book on them.

According to the book, the AA0001 through AA9999 is BSA-Shirley manufacturer. Also the M47 is the mark for Shirley as well.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Nice #4, mid war production, zamak buttplate, Mk2 flip sight. The sighting range was adjusted by fixing or removing the bayonet to split the difference between the two ranges marked on the leafs. Two groove or five groove bore?

thanks for the help so far!

        It's a 5 groove barrel.

The various markings that you show are the subcontractors who made the parts and pieces that were assembled into the complete #4 rifle.

On the receiver after it says No. 4 MKI there are two dots. Do those dots mean anything?

I was wondering about that too. I just glanced through my Enfield book and didn't see anything noting two dots after MkI.

I've never seen it before and I'm assuming the electropen skipped while doing the markings.
