well i got my 150 dollar T-53 all cleaned up and ready to shoot at the WEGC shoot sunday. i will take pics and post this weekend. i think this is going to be my everyday go to beater shooter. the good and the bad.
wood dings and scratches no cracks or chunks missing
metal bluing 40- 50 % no rust
bore not dark cleaned up to maybe 80-85 %
not one single matching number

this will be my .18c corrosive ammo let everybody shoot it mosin. No matter what it will always be worth 150 bucks or more. i still will fuss over it and treat it like is was a custom deer rifle. the greatest honor we can bestow on these old C&R guns is shoot them. millions were destroyed [ dumped in the ocean ] or rusted away in storage. lets have fun with what is left.Comment

Of the three I purchased only 1 had two serial numbers that matched but the stock was the worst. The one with the best stock has like 40% blueing at best. The feel nice and will shoot them tomorrow. They had no cosmolie but a mud like substance in the barrels, I'll probably post pictures later.Comment
