Well if a rifle has muzzle erosion of 0, was never re-parkerized, and was most likely made after the Korean was I would say that all sign point to sitting in an armory wouldn't you? Certainly does not seem that it fired a lot of rounds to me.

Which is the false information 25% with LMR or 10%?? Can you point to some documentation. Your not gonna hurt my feelings here I am big boy. I am gonna be just as happy with the rifle either way, just like you are happy keeping the mis information to a minimum.

If it was issued than it should have been fired quite a bit more correct? Perhaps I am, and of course we will never actually know.
I was never in the armed forces, so I am not sure but don't soldiers regularly go to the range?

This is a HRA service grade, is that correct? Unissued would have all the original parts from the factory. That would be extremely rare and if found during CMP sorting, would be sold via the auction site. Your claim that "we will never actually know" is not correct.

got me a nice 1944 springfield. all the rest is just minor details. their are Garand owners and then their are the rest.

Now take that LMR barreled HRA to our next match on the 16th. I'll be shooting my VAR barreled SA. Should be interesting LMR vs VAR. LMR rifles been known to shoot well.

I love my Springfield too. I will never part with it, its just a hair under 600,000. I love it. I still need to eventually find a Winchester and an IHC too. There is nothing like a Garand :-)

I will not be able to make it to this one. Its my wedding anniversary weekend and I will be out of town. But the next one should definitely be in the cards. It will be a lot of fun to duel the barrels. However you have been doing this a while, and I will be a virgin so it may take me a few to get competitive. Looking forward to it.

Did you ever come into some rifle primers? I have not found any yet.
