    Help with German 8mm Ammo

Anyone have any info on firing surplus steel case 8mm German manufacture ammo? I found some Patronen s.S., 1940, P25, heavy ball, German manufacture ammo. The primers have a green ring around them. Boxes are marked with a blue stripe and "Lackierte Hulsen" in red letters. I've read on deterioration internally, but I would like to know if anyone has any firsthand experience in actually firing it. I can post pics of the box and ammo itself later.

No experience with that ammo, but if you asking if it will still go bang when you pull the trigger - yes it will. Modern (20th century) ammo will be good for a really long time, provided it wasn't water damaged or somehow stored incorrectly. If you have the original box and it is in good condition, you will be GTG.

Take a look at this video. It explains that danger of green primer ammo. Not sure if this is the same as what you have. But thought I would put it out there.

I have some of that 1940's Nazi steel cased ammo. Some of the cases have corroded from the inside and have holes and splits in them. I wouldn't fire it. Good for collecting only.
        Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.
