    C&R question

So with the current vetoes, does that affect the C&R license? Is it now once again worth it to get one so we can get stuff shipped to our door? Or was other things affecting that?
    I get confused....
    Thanks

C&R does not end. You just need to get a COE if you still want to have long guns shipped to you and you will be required to self register them.

Meh, they already know about a ton of guns I own. Doesn't really matter that they know about a few more.

If you have a 03FFL, it's pretty much assumed that you have guns.
If it came down to confiscation, you are already on the list and they will have your Bound Book to work off of.

I would venture a guess that if they were going to come confiscate my firearms they would search for more than what is listed in official records anyway. And I highly doubt they will fall for the "boating accident" BS either.

How about C&R handguns? Would I still be able to get them shipped to my door? I have a new fascination for them. Recently got a P38 and a Luger. I want more.
                  Thanks

No, you never could get C&R handguns shipped to your door in California. You can pick them up outside of California in person and bring them back and pay the $19 fee and let the DOJ know but locally, in California it has to go through an FFL dealer.

while it's a scary idea, if you really think about, pretty far-fetched. while these people are idiots, they're not stupid enough to believe that they'd be able to keep enough people willing to try and go take people's guns. I get the feeling that even they know they'd run out of "enforcement" staff real quick. thing that irritates me about this more than anything is that it's just an obvious money grab. one more thing we have to pay to register. screw 'em, i'm done. this state is constantly re-inventing ways to extort money from us and I've just had it. whatever I end up with by that time is enough guns for me until I move out of this cesspool of a state.

So you would recommend me still getting one ? What form would be used to self register ?

They use a different form for C&R's. They haven't posted it yet, but it will most likely be a modified version of the C&R handgun report form.
