c&r forms

i got my c&r today and it says to send off for some forms, i guess for records. my ? is do i need those or will a bound book be the same, or is there info i will need on those forms. i know how it all works with c&r i assume a bound book is all i need.

I was reading the information on the C&R, said within 10 days I believe the rest of the material would come, and if you needed to reorder to refer to a particular item number.

Can you be more specific?

Did they say you need to "send off for some forms" or did they just include the "REQUISITION FOR FIREARMS/EXPLOSIVES FORMS" in your packet?

ATF is not going to provide you with a bound book, so you'll need to make one yourself or buy the one from Brownells.

The only other forms you might need to order from ATF are the "Theft/Loss" forms if you have something stolen and the "Amended License" form if you move. But ATF included those in the original packet they sent me.

it says that the conduct of business forms will be sent. after that it says use form f 1600.8 to order additional forms. i just dont know what additional forms i will need.

my C&R license came today too. Mailed the form 6/5 and got it on 6/23 (includes 3 weekends, so it's like 7 business days including mailing both ways!!)

my letter says "an initial supply of forms which relate to the conduct of business as a federal licensee" will be mailed from ATF within 10 days.

going to set up my accounts with all of the supply houses then will start going down my "wish list" to see what's gonna be first.

All I ever got from the BATF was the application, and a comment card, then today with the C&R showing up. Nothing else was sent to me, would be nice to have them (BATF) supply the bound book, though as you say that can be easily made by ones self.

The license and the packet of informational material are shipped from two different locations. They can arrive up to two weeks apart. Sometimes the license shows of first and sometimes the packet shows up first.

They don't supply the Bound Book, but they should send you the law books for Federal & State gun law and a small book listing C&Rs. They might even send you a newsletter every once in awhile.

Just to add, there are a few places that sell Bound Books. I think Brownell's has one. Google it up.
