Bought a Carcano check the pics

So I got a smoking deal on a 7.35 carcano. Yes Yes. I know their popularity and ammo availability is low. She is a pretty good looking gun though. The Only pic I forgot to upload was the 1939 XVIII on the oposite side of the serial numbers. If anyone has any more info that may be of interest throw it out.

    Nice looking piece!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Supposed to get two bayonets that are for it as well when he finds them. No ammo though. No clips either.

I could send you a clip but, I'd want more than I paid for it and, since you hate people making a profit on hard to find items, I guess you'll have to find one elsewhere.

That said, I really like my 7.35. I even have dies and bullets just waiting for me to get around to loading up. I originally it up in a package deal and was just going to try to sell it for $50, instead, I made the mistake off shooting it. Now, I own a partial case of original ammo on stripper clips, boxer primed brass, dies and 7.35 bullets and, I just bought a 6.5 Carcano too. They are fun little guns to play with.

Thanks? The clips are everywhere. Yes I can't wait to buy some ammo. If i like it I may try to start loading it.

            I have a nice 6.5 M38 and wouldn't mind finding a 7.35.
I think reloading for the 7.35 would be easier since Lee will make a custom sizer die pretty cheap. Then I could resize .30 cal cast I already make to fit it.

The SA in a box, in the second picture. That is the Finnish Army property proof stamp.

If you look at some of the other threads around here about Finnish Mosin Nagants you can find some.

Italy sent some Carcanos to Finland for the Winter War. Japan also sent some Arisakas, but those are harder to find.

Finland was one of the little Axis sub-allies during the Second World War.

By the way, you should check out the gun shows.

A dealer I know had about five or more boxes of original military surplus 7.35 Carcano.

He was at the Paso Robles show last I saw him and he did not sell any of it. I don't think his pricing was that bad either.

I also have a finn-marked m38 short rifle in 7.35, they are sweet shooters. buy the lee dies and hornady bullets, easy peasy. I run 38gr of BL-C(2) under the 128gr prvi bullet. prvi brass from grafs is reasonably priced and you can get it primed for a dollar more than unprimed. my finn, as well as many others had the front sight replaced to make a more realistic battle zero of around 150m or so. shoots about point-of-aim. they are fun rifles. let me know if you need a clip. I have a bunch and would be glad to send you one. a fellow calgunner did the same for me when I got my first carcano and i'd be glad to pay it forward.
