Buy the book "Mauser Military rifles of the world" By Ball. It's a great book which covers 99 % of the Mauser rifles available to collectors.

They are very attractive rifle... The Persian crests are especially beautiful... There are a few variations.

Notice the differences in the two Persian crests below. The first crest is on a CZ made rifle, which the second is on a Persian made rifle... I call the second crest the "Cowardly lion" crest, as it remind me of the cowardly lion from the wizard of Ozz..
