Why go through all that bs for a scout set up? I just took the rear sight completely off and used the existing dovetail underneath. Don't think it gets much more solid than that

Love it at the 11:11 mark when he is describing on how you can do this at home with really minimal tooling. A new generation of at home gunsmiths will soon be at work sporterizing Mosin's with 9 volt drill drivers.

yeah I really enjoyed their videos until I watched those two. especially the arisaka they tore up, it looked pretty nice and even if it had a sewer-pipe bore, the stock was in good shape and could've been sold to one of us that needed it, as well as other parts. can't believe they shot the thing all up. just shameful. Hickok45 still does great videos.

I may be a bit harsh, I admit the Mosin torture video was very informative. I just get prematurely flared up when I see a C&R being subject to such conditions. But hey, at least now I know that I should very load my 7.62x54R with a mish mash of pistol cartridge powders.
