Nice job TRAP. looks better in person too. Thanks for letting me give it a try and I told you I wouldn't break it.
Thanks Gato for letting me shoot it at yolo today I enjoyed it. That's a great one to pass on and keep in the family. Well till someone calls it an assault rifle and forces registration then confiscation.

Trap & gato -- look forward to the info --
justin4 -- your comment as to calif and AW's may not be to far off -
Jbrownings first attempt at self loader was a lever action rifle with a linkage activated by muzzle blast on a paddle like plate --Comment

No problem Justin, I'm just glad Trap55 was able to make it so others can enjoy it too.

Gunboat, when you get ready to do it, I posted a dis-assembly/re-assembly "how to" with pics. You can't even find a schematic for a small frame, much less instructions to take one apart and get it back together!Nice job!!!
Resurrection is almost always more satisfying the restoration.
Your work inspires me to finish mine --
Unfortunately it is line behind a crackshot, two favorites and a hiwall.
I need to complete making an extractor and spring --
My dust cover is long gone as well --
Time and old ammo was not so kind to the bore, it may require relining --
Mine was found in the wall studs of a house in spokane -- you can imagine the external finish --

Nice Job Trap!
How many Orphans have you saved this year?Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Ummmm........tough question Bruce, I've been out of work for 8 months, so finishing up my own projects, justin4fun and w55's never ending supply of broke guns, and this Colt....a lot.
Current projects are a 1914 Colt .32 Pocket Positive for w55, and a Turk K kahles for Justin. Got the Colt cleaned up, repaired, new grips fitted, and working. But the damned thing won't time in single action, double action it works perfect! I think it's a worn lower cocking notch on the hand. When I get this Turk done, I'll go at it again.
Couple more days I should have this Turk ready to go. Stock was a mess, broke in half, bubba glued back together, and recoil lug hammered back into the stock. Looked like someone used it to hammer nails with. I just couldn't scrap it though, beautifully figured fiddleback light gold colored Turkish walnut. As usual, I didn't think to get "before" pics, but I'll post some "after".Comment

Well just for me there has been a Colt .45, a Colt .32, a S&W .38
The Smith was really just sitting around since 85 looks horrible but functions flawless now. Some day I will learn to post pictures.
Oh yeah there was the SVT-40 missing a part that Trapp noticed
so that saved me a cracked stock....
