    muzzle threads SKS

i can not get a proper answer as to the threads[ missing] on the end of my CA SKS yugo. is it 14-1 LH or 14-1 RH threads. i have looked at many adds for parts and 1/2 say LH other RH threads

It is 14x1 RH for the SKS. 14x1 LH for an AK.

Be careful what you put on your SKS. CA has very backward laws about what can or can't be installed. If it is a muzzle break you should be ok, if it is a flash hider it is a no go in CA. The DOJ has some crazy rules about this stuff, not really worth the trouble to test those waters in my opinion.

i measured the barrel , it is .543. thinking of finding a nice after market muzzle brake in 1/2 inch thread and installing it. i tried a couple of clamp on devices and they would not stay on.

Since it's a fixed mag, you can put whatever evil features you want on it (well except grenade launchers since they're destructive devices)

The problem you run into when adding flash hiders or muzzle brakes is federal 922r law.

this rifle came from classic with a muzzle brake on it. so i see no problem installing another muzzle brake. i will keep the org as proof.

if someone else made a modification then it's good to go.

i'm guessing if your rifle is a yugo its probably really just a disabled grenade launcher not really a brake
