M1 bullet Guide Identification Help

Hello all,

I have a 1943 M1D and cant identify the bullet guide. Does anyone know who made it and what year? It has a S and 72 on it.

I could be wrong but I think it is WWII production SA.

Looks like the "S 72" are forging marks.
