I believe they will have the stock cut out for a unstepped Tang.Rather than a stepped tang.
Because you can cut out the section for a stepped tang but not the reverse.
Note: M44s(some exceptions have been noted) and T53s will have a unstepped tang.

Since it is marked as a 91/30 stock It should not be expected to be able
to accept the M44s and clones side folding bayonet.Often on after market stocks of this type it will not be cut out for a folding bayonet and seeing it is not a full length stock,I am quite positive it would not work well with a side folding bayonet.Bayonet removed or extended permanently that stock might be fine,but I recommend getting a stock made for your model.
Or call Boyds again and speak with someone who knows more about the stock in question.

The description says,under the feature section of Boyds mosin stock:
It must be noted that due to the variations among models and tolerances that factories may or may not routinely adhere to, some minor fitting may be required even on our fully finished drop-in parts to achieve that perfect fit to your action.
