Question on C&R Registration for 2014

    Hi fellow Calgunners -

I'm looking into getting my FFL03 for C&R purchases, as I would like to be able to order the neat old stuff from guys like Classic (I like the idea of getting it sent right to me rather than using an FFL middleman and paying DROS fees). However, the 2014 long gun registration worries me - does anyone know how the new 2014 laws affect those who have FFL03? Will those who have it still need to go through an FFL for registration? Or will the law not really affect those who have it, and if I had my FFL03 in 2014, could I still have C&R long guns shipped to my door without the dealer?

Or (even worse) would I still need to register it even after I get it shipped to my door?

Thanks in advance. I'm trying to get clear on all the laws before I go through the steps (a daunting task in CA, I know).

This. You can get them shipped to your door, but will have to register them yourself afterward. You need a 03 FFL and a COE. (Search these forums for more info.) Good luck!

Ugh, I was hoping that wasn't the case.

      Thanks for the info!
