Well, I am one lucky SOB. I came on here to post pictures I finally took of a recent aquisition, and I was worried about where to post. But this was here, damn skippy!
Anyway, here are a couple quick snapshots of a revolver I now own due to the passing of my grandfather. He showed me this in my younger days, and now it is mine to preserve and share with others. At a not so ripe age of 19 I have a love for early America, I guess I know where that comes from.
It is a revolver produced in either 1862 or 1863 by Starr Arms for the Union Army. This is number 12,802 of an estimated 20,000, and one of the first double action revolvers (actually, it is just an adjustable self-cocking with two internal triggers).
Just felt like sharing some history with you fine people. If you would like better/more photos, don't hesitate to ask. If you just want to say "That's cool." that will work also.
