question on lithgows: disc!

hi everyone,

do lithgows always have the little disk in the buttstock?

got my eye on a great looking one, that's the only thing that doesnt look right... no little disc.

Is it a WW2 Lithgow? My 1941 doesn't have a stock disc either.

I used to have one that didn't have the disc in the stock either. Post pics to confirm.

Of my 4 Lithgows, one had a unit disk, one had an empty hole in the stock for a unit disk, and two had no provision for a unit disk.

None I ever saw when imported from Australia had discs... Who knows where they might have gone and had a disc installed....
