California Dealers can not ship anything to your door. If you have a C&R and a COE then you can skip the 10 day waiting period for C&R firearms at California Dealers, but you still have actually go into the shop to do the DROS.

With just your C&R license, out of state FFL's and out of state unlicensed people can ship 50 year old long guns to your door.

With just your C&R license, you can go out of state and buy C&R handguns and C&R long guns of any age from FFL's and unlicensed people, cash and carry.

The only thing you can get shipped to you from inside California are 50 year old long guns from people who are not Dealers. But you don't need a C&R license for that.

I still need to get a type 99. Every couple months the wife gives me grief-- you've got all these WWII rifles including carbines, Enfields and Garands from different manufacuturers, a bunch of Russian rifles, and you still don't have a single Japanese gun. You'd think I'd just wise up and buy one to make her happy. Its not like you really have to twist my arm to get me to buy something.
