    M57 barrel question?

Completely new to this and I already have a VZ24 as a C&R, but I was wondering if you can C&R a handgun such as a tokarev? Im assuming you cant but was just wondering.

UPDATE: I have since purchased the tokarev I was looking at and to be completely honest a little bit of a disappointment. I know its my fault for not completely checking out the gun before purchasing it but it felt kind of weird looking at one in a parking lot before heading into the FFL. So I need a new barrel, it has already been shot through after I did my best to clean out the rust that was in there.... Where can I find a new barrel for an M57?

I think you need it shipped to an FFL if you don't have a COE

Sure you can buy it. If you DROS it.
A C&R is worthless for handguns in CA.

          If it's over 50yo, it's a C&R

I think you're asking if you can Face to Face a C&R handgun. No. All handguns must go through an FFL (you said you're new to this so I assume you don't have an FFL03 and COE)

So meet the guy at an FFL, transfer and DROS, and do your jailtime

"C&R" (curio & relic) is not something you do, but something that is.

C&C (cash & carry) is what I'm assuming you meant.. and like others said, No.

I wonder what the original question was.

Now if you leave the boundaries of the state of CA, you can purchase a C&R handgun face to face with your C&R license, but then once you bring it into the boundaries of CA, you must send in registration forms and $19 for the state.

Just did this with a CZ82 from JG Sales.

Those gang members carrying around concealed Mosin Nagant Revolvers pretty much ruined it for everybody.

My local gang carries French 8mm lebel revolvers since they are antiques. Even gang bangers find legal loopholes......

                            Check here:

Chinese barrels will work in an M57 -- I fit a Norinco 9mm barrel to an M57 so I can switch calibers. I've also done this with Tokarevs. It seems to me that all Tokarev variants use the same barrel. BTW -- my 1937 TT33 has the bore of a sewer pipe and shoots pretty well; are you sure you need a new barrel?

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Not sure if I really do or not but it looks to me like its in bad shape.
