When I go to the mountains, I bring my metal detector.
Some of those bullets are from an old black powder revolver I think. The best I could gather is that they are .41 in diameter.
Found the 30-06 cartridge about 3 inches in the mud along a lake shore. It is stamped 43.
Of course you would recognize the 45 ACP.
The mushroomed bullet still has animal tissue in within the mushroomed lead and jacket. Interesting.
Some old as the hills .22 rounds. I found these about 6-8 inches down, so they must be pretty old.
