    Czech Mauser Bayonet

Found this on CL. Guy says possibly made in the 20's. Does this look like a correct bayo? It'd be cool to have it for my '45 Czech Mauser. He wants $75. Yay or nay?

Ok, thanks. Just a random search on CL and it popped up

Now is the handle broken, or is it supposed to be half wood and half steel?

Go to Gunbroker and search on "Czech Bayonet". I just looked quickly and saw 3 good ones for $27-40. One was really nice with just a small dent in the sheath.

They are selling for a lot more on eBay for whatever reason. The pommel should be metal, and the actual grip wood.

I've never looked at them so didn't know what they usually go for. Showed up during a random Mauser search

FWIW, you can get a Yugo bayonet for much less, and it will fit fine. I'm not sure how "militant" you are about your Czech mauser having a matching bayonet but if you just want a decent price for a bayonet that will fit, check out a 24/47, or M48 Mauser bayonet.
