    Antique Flintlocks.

I have posted two original flintlocks for sale in the classifieds section, hit my Avatar and it will offer you a choice to see my latest posts.

I think they are interesting and of specific value to the collectors here.
I post here for that reason and because I want to move them on, of course.

However, I'm pretty certain this post will be removed - even though the pistols are interesting to collectors and about as curio and relic as can be.

There seems to be only one member here who is able to post alerts here for his classified ads without them being zapped, which is of no great issue, just strange.

Anyway - take a look and ask questions.

My collection is shifting in focus, and some items just have to go, lol.

    Happy collecting,

If you are talking about me, well, my posts - giving a "heads up" on things of interest to members of this forum others have for sale that I spot while wading though pages and pages and pages and pages of plastic crap for plastic guns or on my own items - get removed regularly. I guess some folks here get butt-hurt like a boiling horseradish and jalapeno enema and scream like little whining sissy baby beotches when collectors try to share things with other collectors. One would think they would be happier over on another page looking at photos of guns that resemble gay space alien sex toys, but maybe they are like ultra-liberal Democrats and aren't happy unless they can find something to offend them and complain about that other folks who are minding their own business and not bothering anyone else are doing.

For months and months and months I have asked and asked and asked for a separate Marketplace trader forum just for collectors so we don't have to wade through the endless pages of AR/Glock/Keltec guns and parts/accessories that attempt to pass for sales forums here, before January 1 comes along and the terrorists win, but it appears they already have won, so what is the point of it. I get better results talking to my deaf dog.

I for one think those awesome antique pistols of yours are cool and belong on this forum and think that your best "target audience" is here and not on a forum where most folks there think "wood" is something they get while looking at plastic and cheap cast pot metal , but some glock-sucker will probably complain - if they haven't already - and this message thread will vanish.

Lol - agreed 100%, Markus - you are the man!!!!!!!!!
(My idea of an assault rifle is the one in my Avatar!)

Just, annoyed that my heads-up posts keep getting zapped - I hate typing pointlessly, lol.

I would LOVE a C&R classifieds, too, and have always tried to chip in and support entries (yours and others) to that effect.

I do believe there is a genuine busy body here at Calguns who has too much time on their hands and feels zapping classifieds does someone somewhere a favor - who knows - in England we used to call them "jobsworths" - a person seemingly taking pride in a non-sensical and petty job, that no one wanted, needed or appreciated.

All written in jest and good humor - I love Calguns!

PS. Calguns - help me buy my the G43 I have found, lol.

Promise to post lots of pics of it here on the C&R forum, along with the matching ZF4 scope.

You know you want a massive Cavalry pistol in your life! Get it with the saber and you can create your own reeanactments in your living room - at least until you get caught by your wife!

You and I say "antique horse pistol" but there are those among our self-anointed rulers in Suck-off-ramento who look at that and see a single-shot muzzle loading assault pistol with a bore diameter over .50 caliber that could be used to shoot down an airplane or take out an armored vehicle from a mile away, and that it should be banned or at least registered as a prelude to confiscation, since no one has any lawful use for a pistol that big.

I know a lot of the various German 1808/39 "Potsdam" muskets were used by both sides in the War of Northern Aggression (often incorrectly and deliberately misleadingly called "The Civil War") and most of them were bought by the Yankee aggressors in 2 shipments just to keep them out the hands of Southern freedom fighters, and then later given to various "friendly and peaceful" (politician-speak for robbed, raped, beaten, conquered, and subdued) Native American tribes as a form of government issued "trade gun".

I wonder if any of these big German cavalry pistols from the same period also saw any use on the American frontier or in The War Between The States.

For anyone who is interested in this fascinating period of American history, both those big muzzle loader pistols would be a great addition to a collection.

The 1860's were certainly a time of great change in firearms.

You might have a single shot percussion pistol like mine (1868 marking), in one place, while in England the American inventor, Hiram Maxim had just completed what was termed the first "complete" machinegun (1868).
The Colt Peacemaker was still five years away from commercial production.

Markus - I am not sure if the Potsdam or Prussian pistols were fielded like their equivalent rifles during the war between the states, but it wouldn't surprise me at all - thank you for pointing that out - I presumed it was an early 20th Century bring-back.

Maxim 08/15 - not the one he invented in 1868.

My Russian Maxim M1910 - California Legal of course.
This example is not Curio Relic because the right receiver flat section and internal lock are a modern semi automatic replicas by Midwest metal Creations.
But visually it is indiscernible from the the actual example, which would be a Curio and Relic.

I wish even if we can't have our own for sales forum that we could maybe have a single C&R Sales thread here with links to the commercial section. No bumping.

I wish Marcus could write more than two sentences in a row without bringing up gay sex and/or pedophilia. People are starting to wonder.

No need to wonder - yes, rabid firearms rights hater Leland Yee is gay pedophile.

Guys really, what happened here? - can't we just talk about machineguns and flintlocks?
