    C&R AWs

If SB-374 becomes law, the following C&R rifles would be classified as assault weapons in CA:

    Egyptian Hakim
    M1 Carbine
Marlin Model 60 (.22 cal semi-auto with tubular magazine holding more than 10 rounds)
    Remington Model 8
    Remington Nylon 66
    Russian SVT-38 SVT-40
    Winchester Model 1905
    Winchester Model 1907
    Winchester Model 1910
    Winchester Model 77

    Any others?

How would the Remington Model 8 be an AW? If that was so, then the M1 Garand would be illegal as well.

If a Hakim is on the list, a Ljungman should be aswell. This is what happens when you live in a one party state.
        Because milsurp.

Why would an M1 Garand fall in this category? Only 8 rounds in an internal magazine.

I don't believe the Marlin Model 60 is old enough to be C&R. I have the predecessor to it, the Model 49DL, and it was made in 1971.

We'll have to register these semi-auto 22's, like the Marlins and Ruger 10/22's, under a new category - SAWs. Squirrel Assault Weapons.

He said Model 8. That has an internal magazine, like the M1 Garand. The only ones that have detachable magazines are the rare police models from back East.

There are some early AR-15s that are old enough to be C&Rs.

AKs as well, although as they would be FA, not many would likely be in CA.

Unfortunately, I think it can be argued that the M1 Garand does in fact have an ammunition feeding device (clip) that can be easy removed.
