    C&R 03ffl change of address

I called in to the ATF offices and was told that I could just write a letter saying that I am moving and return my original license and they will amend it. Reading the license it says I should also include form 5300.38

Have any of you moved and if so what did you send in?

I would just fill out their form and follow the directions on it. Not sure why they would tell you to just write a letter when they have a form for it.

I moved about a year ago. filled out form stated above and followed directions. Sent a new letter to LEO and if I remember I had to attach the actual C&R FFL to the form.

It was simple and fast. I think it got the new 03 back in 2 weeks or so. BTW you'll get a brand new FFL# so you'll need to make more copies and resend to different places to get discounts.

Thank you for reminding me about the CLEO.

I called the ATF when I moved 2 years ago. They said to just send them a letter, no form required.

I also moved about a year (+) ago and I just filled out the form; sent one copy and one copy to my local CLEO - no muss/no fuss. It arrived at a faster time me than the original did!

Can I use the PDF or do I need an original form?

You mean of your license? I sent my original and I think they want your original.

No, my change of address. I know they require originals for your license application.

I can't get their website to accept my request for a change of address form. I'm SURE it is just a technical issue and not some way to slow down the process

Look on your license it tells you what form to send, then google the form number and that is how I found my pdf. Filled it out printed and mailed. I haven't heard anything yet though.

What do you mean by accept your request? The link I posted above should take you directly to the PDF form where you can type in your info and either save it to your computer or print it. You can't submit it directly to them, you need to mail it.

Yep, no form required. When I sent in the firs original application I received my 03FFL and discovered my residence address was misspelled. I called and explained to them. They told me my address on the license is exactly them same as I had on my application. They told me just send in a letter and copy of the original license. I did, and 10 days later received a new license with a new license number.

I do remember I filled out a corrected application and sent it in, along with the incorrect license copy. I didn't pay any extra.
