                  So, at some point between 1914 and 1961, that firearm was involved in something that made its owner throw it in a lake.

                  I sure would like to hear the stories that it could tell...

                          His project was interesting. He did a good job. This is a pretty neat gun also.

                                Maybe someone was using it as an anchor.

                                I wonder if it was loaded or if had a mag or no mag at all?

                                I imagine someone ditching a 'crime gun' would toss it loaded and all, someone dealing with dads estate (by throwing it a lake) would probably not bother to load it.
