    Rock N Roll Uzi

Went up to Carson City, NV sat with justin4fun and n-stine, so Justin could pick up a pistol he bought from an FFL named Steve. We all went out to the range to do some shooting, and Steve brought along his full auto Uzi, and a couple of suppressed .22's. I think it took less time to burn up 50rnds of 9mm, than it did to load the mag. It was surprisingly heavy, and accurate! We had one of those self sealing plastic square targets set out about 25yrds on the ground. With short bursts, I could roll it.
I also had the surprise of shooting a full auto TT-33 Tokarev, and they ain't suppose to be F/A! When no one showed any surprise, I knew we weren't in Calif anymore Toto. I got it apart trying to figure out what broke.
Click the pics for the video.

OH MAN that looks like fun. Glad I was there to enjoy it. Just some deprived Californians having some free world fun.

Same one. He saw my .45 SAA, I was telling him about yours, and he told me he did the transfer. Small world. We put another box of ammo through your .38 too, you better come and get this while I'll still let you have it back.

How cool to be in a free state and shoot full auto!

Off topic, I suppose - but did you know there is an UZI on the ATF Curio and Relic list.

"UZI, Model A, semiautomatic carbine, cal 9mm, having a satin nickel finish applied at the factory, S/Ns SA 0001 to SA 0100."

But, then there is the CA interpretation of the law,

I believe that Uzi would be legal beginning next year but if it is an IMI Uzi, banned by name. Sort of dumb that we can have Vector and Century Uzis here but not IMI.

                  Good to know Capybara -
I had not heard about that change (the C&R is of course an IMI UZI.)

I will get interested when they allow us to transfer full-auto C&R via an 03 FFL and a form 4, like the free states.

Sorry about the thread corruption - looks like a fun range day - I am not really much for modern firearms, but the UZI and FAL are exceptions for me, a lot of world history wrapped up in their development.

                      Great videos!!

Thanks for making time to get out to the range when you guys came out. It was a lot of fun and I am glad you got to shoot the Uzi.

To be honest, I have not shot many C&R pistols so it was a great chance for me to get more familiar with the guns that I transfer for you guys. It was my first time shooting 7.62x25 and I think that is a really cool round!!!

We are still looking to get the 22lr conversion kit for the Uzi and shooting that with the rimfire suppressor on the front should be awesome when it is set up and running.

Until then, keep the transfers coming. I can't promise a range trip every time but it is always good to meet you guys.

                      Steve

Steve, Thanks again for the great time!
The F/A Tokarev was a broken sear spring. Next time I'll bring the CZ-52, and a TT-33 that ain't broke.

It was a little more shocking and impressive when you pull the trigger and don't know how many rounds would fire. And now I know your thinking it was cool posting the auto tok video. Wish we could find some of those high cap mags for the next free state trip.
