too many new regulations... I'm lost... how to sell/present C&R rifle?

I'm sorry in advance if my question is trivial. I have C&R lic but I only bought things, not sold. I was lucky to buy a couple of Mosin's rifles and now my friend asks me to sell one. I've decided just give it to him but I have no idea how to do it correctly from legal point of view. So, if you know how to do it (besides a record in the book) I'll really appreciate your explanation.

    Thanks!

Copy of DL and a printed document from him saying he is not prohibited. Easy as pie! Well, never actually made pie, but I've bought a c&r once

The state won't care until Jan 1st, 2014 - after that you would have to go through a FFL. So it's really just a question of keeping your book in order.

Just as a CYA (if your selling one)

Do a bill of sale, (2 copies-one for you and one for buyer) make sure sure it states the person buying it is not a convicted felon and is not barred to possess a firearm. Do a google (or bing) search, there's plenty of examples out there. And get a copy of the person's drivers lic.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons.

This^^^ Even if gifting the rifles, does not hurt to CYA.

Ed, thanks for posting that! I had a copy of that bill of sale form but couldn't find it to save my life.
