i am happy with the results of only polishing the sear surface that makes contact with the bolt and adding a very thin shim under the sear. it still has a safe pull. side by side with another Mosin i have the travel is shorter and my guess is it now has a 5-6 lb release , maybe 4 at the least. their are so many videos on doing this i just wanted to post my modest and reversible trigger mod. took me maybe 1 hr. i am not interested in grinding parts or polishing all the moving parts to the trigger and sear. if somebody wants more details PM me.
