    Type 56 SKS Bayonet Screw

    Yeah it happened.
The little bayonet screw grew legs and walked off while I had the rifle apart to de-cosmo and now I am screwed (no pun).
Replacement bayonet screws are not in stock with the usual suspects (Buymilsurp, Numrich, Sarco).
Anyone have a lead on where I might find one so I can fix this transgression? I think an SKS without its bayonet looks like ish on a white duck.

I bought the entire bayonet assembly on Ebay. I'd start there. With all respect to the parts houses, you will probably pay $10 shipping on a fifty cent part.

I bought another sks to use as parts gun, it's actually cheaper in the long run.

          Poly Tech - http://stores.polytechparts.com/StoreFront.bok

Part is not listed, but they should have them. Give them a call, they have more than they list on the site.
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Some idiots are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything

Wow thanks for the responses all - gotta love the collective knowledge and wisdom here on Calguns.
Eagle Eye, you were spot on with your link, I now have the bayo screw on order - many thanks. I now have a new, go-to milsurp vendor to add to my usual suspect list.
            Cheers.

Semi Auto Silhouette Match Sunday 23rd Sac Valley

              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those that missed the last one we had make sure you mark you calendar for the 23rd of June. This is always a fun match for everyone involved. Reactive target sure beats the boring paper targets. Instant gratification (or grief if you miss) and feedback.

Bring out your Garands, SVT, Ljungman, Hakim, BM59s, M1As, AR clones, SKS, AKs, HK91 clones etc. Ammo restricted to HP/SP, no magnum, no AP & FMJ and under 3K FPS. Hope to see lots of people there.

Sorry no sub MOA $90 Mosins Big 5 special allowed as they are too accurate and not a semi-auto

I bought a complete spike bayonet and all the parts for my SKS at the military museum on petaluma blvd. paid 10 bucks for it. Very cool museum too!
