Can you tell me how to get hooked up with SOG? I faxed them a copy of my FFL and have an account on their website but it's been about a week with no update. I'd like to order one of these, what's the best way to go about it?

If your account is activated and you can log in you are probably good to go. I recall that they didn't activate my account until they hadmy ffl on file. When you place your order, I seem to remember there being a notes section. Put in your Ffl number. If it is not on file for some reason they should email you and you can send it then.

The problem is I can't see any firearms online. Only ammo and accessories, so I don't think I am authorized yet. Why can;t they have a site like aimsurplus...

I had to Call them a couple of times before they activated my account. I would just call them to make sure they received your ffl. Maybe you can just email your ffl now, A Lot of other guys are taking digital copies now. The ladies that work there are pretty nice... They didn't seem to mind about all my calls. They will take your order over the phone.

SOG is definitely nicer on the phone than Samco! The ladies answering the phone there are, shall we say, a bit jaded?

The one thing that bugs me about both is that you get a total and input your card, and then they send you the actual total. It has in my experience always been greater than the initial total, and SOG has a habit of changing prices (although they have honored the price listed on the day I placed my order, but it did take a phone call and refund to my card). Nevertheless I have been happy with everything I've ordered from them, even though they didn't send me my Yugo ammo in the pictured wooden crate!

wow maybe I should order one from sog, that striping is nice, and no beaver chew. Or maybe I'll just wait and get exactly what I want since the chances of getting one like that are well who knows haha.

If you want to really know what you're going to get go through Simpson. You'll pay more but they post pics and grade and describe each one. Some of the others posting here reminded me of that when I started my search for a k11.
