    signing ffl03 ?

Kind of dumb question but I'm all excited and just bought a rifle online and need to sign a copy of my ffl03 to send to the seller. What do I put down for the part that says, position/title?

Make sure you do not sign the original, blue ink works better.

thank you for the tips guys, just bought a western field 22(mossberg) for 78 shipped. Not in perfect shape but not bad and should be able to handle all that 22 shorts I always see at walmart.

Nice find ! I know I really enjoy shooting shorts out of my Mossberg 44US. You can also add info, serial, description in the open space for what rifle you are sending the copy of your ffl 03 ... I do.

An old 22RF will not have a serial number. That did not start until 1968.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

              'Collector'

As in 'Collector of Souls and Bones'

P.S. I went full retard like Simple Jack and signed my license when I got it. ("Meh...instructions....no time...Gotta buy stuff now!")

I never had a problem, but they are right. Keep the original blank and sign the copies. Don't be a dummy like Bobby Ricky

It was not required until then. That does not mean that it won't have one.
I have several Mossberg 22RF's from the 40's and they all have serial numbers.

If you can send your license via email or upload you can sign a copy, but leave the date blank, then scan it and when you send it in just modify the date. Most vendors will keep your license on file, too, which is obviously helpful when making future purchases.

Yep. Serial numbers record keeping much easier, amongst things.

I think. With a Coe you can bypass that law plus have no 30 day wait between handgun purchases.

You can sign and date a copy then scan it. The date signed does not have to be "recent" -- just within the validity period of license. You are certifying that it is a true and accurate copy of your license.

Either way works on the new form revised October 2011.
