Bought Two Last Year, Want Two This Year

Here are my 1926(hex) & 1936(round) Izzy's. Both came w/ bayonets and the usual accessories. Got these from a local Big 5 last year. Saw the 1936 Mosin on display for $109 and asked the guy if it was the last one. He said he would go to the back to check and came back with a 1926 hex Mosin. Had told the wifey I was gonna buy "A" rifle but I just couldn't leave without both. They were meant to be together. I knew I was gonna hear it when I would get home but figured it was worth it. And it was. Good thing too as prices seem to have gone up. Now I have to convince her to get more this year before they go up again. Sorry for crappy phone pics.

pawn shop, big 5 , turners, private gun stores they all got my mosin money. after selling most of my 91-30s i decided to have one 91-30 special enough that i would be happy with 1 but not special enough that i would not shoot it. ended up with a 1934 TULA hex .all matching [ no force match or scrub] no counter bore and it still has a pre WW2 stock that has very nice shellack. my only other 91-30 is my shooter big 5 FAKE PU sniper. the dummies [ PW ARMS] made a PU sniper out of a 1936 round receiver IZZY. dooooo

How much do fake PU snipers go for? Does it look and shoot good?

i guess in the past their was some real junk cobbled together fake snipers. my sniper is every bit as good as a org historical PU sniper. the scope and mounts are from the WW 2 tooling in the Ukraine. the workmanship is also very good. if you are not a collector get one to shoot.

When you find rifles like those on the rack at Big 5 for $109, your next stop should be Vegas, because lady luck is smiling on you.
