    C&R Transfer

Hey guys I dont quite understand how to legally transfer a C&R long rifle. I have a M1 Garand that is more than 50 years old. If I sell it privately to someone do they need a license to buy it? Or can we just exchange drivers license information?

It depends. If you have a 03 FFL you can sell it to any CA resident 18 or older that is eligible to own a firearm. They do not need any type of FFL. You will need their info for your bound book.
If you are not a 03 FFL, no documentation is required, although it is a good idea to do a bill of sale for your own records.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups

In a face to face transaction within the state of California, as long as you have no reason to believe that the buyer is forbidden by law to possess a weapon...yes.
