mosin coffee table help

So I need a new coffee table for my man cave! I want to do one of the famed mosin crate tables. Unfortunately my other half will not green light a full crate of mosins. I did some digging around and found someone on ebay that is selling the crates but they have them marketed as "vintage US military", they come to around $350 with shipping . Now I'm thinking of just building my own. Does anyone have a crate they could give me the dimensions off of? I will also accept any input. I'm thinking so far making it out of pine and using a stain with a greenish tint to it. I will also stencil some of my own markings on it and light it using a safe kit from a seller on here.

Got the crate today. Now I'm debating if I want to build a wood frame for the glass or if I want to just attach the hinges directly to the glass top. Any thoughts?

How about a BTS Mosin, some old, muddy field gear, bandages, letters & pictures from home, a 8th German Army helmet with a bullet hole in it, and top it off with some dirt from the Battle field at Kursk.

That lamp is cool! Well I had the crate shipped to my work to save a little $$. I couldn't resist putting it in the man cave to see how it fits and how much room it takes. And it's perfect, at least in my eyes I will have to wait and see what the wife thinks! I have the light kit and glass on order. Now I get to wait.
