So today I like many other's have been affected by the Mosin Nile Virus. To Be Continued...
Ok, I'm back. Took the Mrs. out for our 13yr. Marriage Anniversary. I had a chance to shoot my buddy's 91/30 and was HOOKED! I've always been more into the Gung Ho, Nuke'em, Million rd. mag Matrix style firearms. Not your Single, One at a time, Take you're time to make it count Patriot style firearms. Literally after one shot I wanted one. So here I go on the hunt for Good Ole Russia Red October. Why is it when you aren't looking for something there's sooo many to choose from, but as soon as you want one everyone else does too (At least that's how it feels). It seemed liked the one's I found were either too far, or someone else beat me to the punch. Finally after weeks of checking the For Sale Forums on a regular basis I found one local that hadn't been sold yet. After a smooth transaction I am now a proud owner of a Mosin 91/30. Everything looks good from the buttstock to the bore, and a really smooth bolt. I am a happy camper! Now for the CCW part of my story. The Mrs. that I love so much has no idea of my new purchase. How do I conceal a firearm that is more taller than my children? Even tho it fits in my safe, but it's like Bam! in your face as soon as you open the safe. It's like trying to hide Steve Martin's nose in the movie Roxanne. Impossible! Maybe one day someone will design a Mosin TakeDown Model. Until then I will be hoping and praying that the 13yrs. we have been together I've been a good husband and father. Good luck to all you other Calgunner's in the same CCW shoes as me. (And you thought this was a real topic of CCW of a Mosin) God Bless this Great Nation and the people who Love it! Take care...
