    Browning Double Automatic

Thought ya'll might enjoy seeing my latest C&R score. She's a Browning Double Automatic, steel receiver that's seen some use and some work. Its got a Lyman Cutts compensator installed, and has definitely had a trigger job. If I understand the date scheme correctly, it's from the early years of production (1955-57), and I'm pretty sure it hasn't been cleaned since the day she'd been built.

Speaking of cleaning, when I did I took it down to as far as I dared (didn't want to mess with the friction disks) and I have to say, this is one of the most interestingly engineered guns I've run across. I mean, I marveled at the trigger group pins alone for a good few minutes! Val (Browning) was a genius in his own right, and this gun proves it.

    Anywho, on to the pics!

I love the way this gun feels, and shoulders. Although I'd really like to increase the LOP (I need somewhere around 15.5" and this is around 14.5"). Any suggestions?

    Thanks for lookin!

Friend of mine has one and loves it, I once shy a couple of rounds of skeet with it, a lot of clanking and banging compared to my 11-87 but got the job done. His has bagged a lot of doves.
My C&R auto shotgun is a Winchester model 40 skeet gun.
