Ordered a rifle today, requested a 6 digit serial number and yet said "we will do our best, but no promises". They also said they won't do anything with my order until Monday or Tuesday, which is kinda weird to me, being that I ordered directly over the phone. I'm having the rifle shipped to an FFL, maybe that has something to with the shipping delay."The purpose of living is to find something worth dying for"Comment

They're probably making the holiday into a 4 day weekend. Nobody wants to go back to work on Friday. Hope you enjoy your Garand.Ordered a rifle today, requested a 6 digit serial number and yet said "we will do our best, but no promises". I'm sure it's because of the 4th of July. It's a small operation.Ordered a rifle today, requested a 6 digit serial number and yet said "we will do our best, but no promises". As others said...probably took a 4 day weekend. Anyway I have four Garands from Dupage now. Super pleased with the rifles I've received from Jim at Dupage.Ordered a rifle today, requested a 6 digit serial number and yet said "we will do our best, but no promises". The last Garand I ordered was two weeks ago and I requested a six digit SN. They came through and I got a 885XXX SA. It is very clean and nice. Very little in the way of marked up metal. I think you'll be pleased with what they send you.Comment

Sounds great! Yeah, people have consistently good things to say about dupage, so I expect to be pleased. What you got is exactly what I want, A war-time SA. I've ordered two batches of two rifles each, first ones were $1386 delivered, so $18 each for shipping and I'm in the Fresno area, the second batch were ? I think $1381 delivered, so it was $15.50 each for shipping, give or take a few cents.
First batch ordered over he phone with Jim, second was totally on line, I requested WWII. SN's for three and got them, requested pre war SN also and got it.
Here's one of the WWII SN rifles, Dec of 42, I haven't finished oiling the rest.
