    SKS butt plate

I got a quick question for you guys. I have a China 1958 sks rifle with a 1951 Tula stock on it (the original stock came in rather jacked up condition.) I love the gun but I find the stock a bit too short for me. What's the best after market buttplate I can get to make the rifle fit me a little better?

Never had any need for one, but try this place:

    1A - 2A= -1A :(

Yeah I don't really "need" it, I just think it'll help me sight better.

How much of an extension do you think you need?

          I'm thinking a 1". I don't know if 2" would be overkill or not.

1" makes a noticeable difference in length of pull.

Not trying to be a know it all, but just thought you'd like to know:

Norinco wasn't established until 1980. If your SKS is Chinese and correct at 1958, then it is most likely a factory 26 Type 56

This website is pretty helpful: http://www.yooperj.com/SKS-24.htm

May be right, all I know is I got a Chinese and the website I used to date it said 1958 based on the serial. When I bought the rifle it was a cash and carry so therefore it was for sure not made in the 1980s. So it's a Chinese made before Norinco existed? ahh, yeah its a 56 I think, oddly enough it had a blade bayonet....
