What was the time between order and receipt ?
They also have the oilers, but no slings. It was about 11-12 days before I received it.

Thanks for checking in. What did shipping turn out to be?

I'm wondering, there's got to be someone else that has this. Has anyone called Century to see if they would do it for cheaper?

I remember years ago Impact Guns was selling these, for well under 2000.

BTW, 2 years ago classic was selling the same crate for 1500 bucks.

I called Century last summer and asked about crates. They say they don't sell them, just individually boxed rifles in master packs of five. Someone else said that the Century source for 91/30s is the Ukraine. Classic says on its website that their source is Russia.

I called Century and the rep told me that they don't sell them by the crate and hasn't for a while. I told him how much Classic sells them for and all the guy said was: "Ooohhh!"

Just last year J&G had them for $1800 OTD

Classic is great and all but I'm gonna wait and see if places like Aim or JG will offer them. They tend to be a little less pricy.

Good luck with trying to get a fair market price in 2013 from J&G. AIM, and to a somewhat lesser extent Classic, never really jumped all over the panic.

My personal thoughts / speculation is if and when we see 91/30's again they will be higher in price than now. Look at how much they have gone up in the just he last couple of years. A year from now they may very well be a $250.00 rifle. During normal times when have rifle prices ever come down?

If I had the extra funds this would be better than a 401K.

                        Totally agree.

Considering that it is still the cheapest to own, cheapest to shoot centerfire rifle (even if they sold them for $250 and factory ammo around $0.50 per shot) there isn't anything else to compete with in this price range.

Mosin Nagant rifles are still undervalued at current prices.

Hey I was wondering, does anyone know how much these things weigh? Each rifle weighs 8lbs, so we know it weighs at LEAST 160lbs from the rifles themselves. Then factor in bayonets, the wooden crate, other accessories...? 200? 225? 250?

Hmmmmm, a case of crap shouldn't cost that much more than a single crap, should it?

The info that I have is right round 300 lbs +/- ( with accessories)
I am thinking without the accessories about 280 lbs.
