    Lodi PD Gun Buy Back Program!

    Lodi PD had a Gun Buy Back Program last Saturday, funded by a Anti-Gang grant from the Feds. I had planned to walk the waiting line to make some offers but had a rifle match that morning. They had 117 guns turned in, spent $11,000. I perused the pics, looks like most of the stuff was old hunting guns but there was an AK, a couple of Tec types, a sawed off side by side and one Street Sweeper 12 GA. There was a pic of one long gun, the barrel must be 80 inches long, it's huge. Only military C&R I saw in the pics was some sort of Mosin-Nagant. For the most part, looks like the Gang Bangers were'nt the ones turning in their guns...go figure.

    Here's the link, couldn't download the pics, they seem to be locked. Have at it and see what kind of stuff you recognize!

    sigpicCertainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter.

    Looks like mostly old hunting rifles and shotguns. Now everyone in Lodi can feel safe as all the illegal guns been bought back. So the cost is averaging about $94.

      Yeah, its a total waste of time/$ but it makes great headlines....Although I have to admit, my wife was there, turned in two $40 junk guns for $100 each

      Id really like to know that that beast with the five foot barrel was though...

            Just short of 5000+ guns that were to be used to murder children have been taken off the streets {and out of gun safes}
            Over half of these guns {96%} were single shot, fully automatic, assault weapons.

                    I'm guessing its a 151.

                    That M44 and 151 are just sooo threatening

                      Pic #30 looks like a Winchester 1903 or Model 63.
                      Pic # 47 is a Marlin 55 12ga goose gun
                      I wonder how many of these are stolen, and if any attempt is made to return them?

                        Well, if sacramento has their way, my 1948 151 (a) would be considered an assault rifle after all.

                          I had a Mossberg 151 M-B I sold recently that looked exactly like the one pictured .. scope and all. I hope they don't destroy the old .22's they get from the police buy backs .. thats like destroying American History one small piece at a time

                              They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.
