HELP! with Steyr M95 Extraction issues!

Good find! That is what yours is. The M95/31. I was convinced it was a M90, but the M95/31 has the same stock marks as yours.

As for your ejecting problem, it might be that yours needs a part replaced ad Marcus suggested.

Other than that, the only thing I can think of is that the bolt is for an older model such as the full length infantry rifle M90 or M95, both used a smaller caliber.

Thanks!!! I just found my issue! Here is what my M95/31 ( ) SHOULD look like. This is the ejector installed on the sear. Should look like this.




My ejector is busted, makes sense now, duh. Pic is attached.

The "H" indicates that this was converted from 8X50r to 8X56r by the Hungarians, not the Austrians. Austrians, being a lost tribe of Germans, speak German and marked their converted rifles with "S".

It sounds like you might have ejector problems instead of extractor problems. I don't have any of these rifles any more, so don't remember how the ejector is set up.
