I just got my C&R.

Do I still need to join a club to order from CMP?

The C&R fulfills one requirment, but you still have to join a club. I joined the Garand collectors club, it was only like twenty bucks a year, and you get a cool magazine every couple of months.

I've joined GCA and California rifle and pistol assoc before. I usually go with the cheapest.

I think raised the price like 10 bucks since last year though... I would go GCA next time i renew.

GCA updates their list every week or something like that. It is probably the best bet if you are in a hurry. And the GCA Journal is a very good magazine (IMO at least).

I'm Life so haven't noticed a price increase.
