    1944 Russian M-44

i was at a very small gun store today that i have not been to in a while. i bought a TULA 1905 M-91 their around july.
i love my 1955 Romanian m-44 and wanted another m-44. i was looking at some nice Russian SKSs but he wants 600 for them . i found a 1944 izzy M-44 with a nice laminated stock for 349. not a great deal but i do not have a C&R and i do like to see what i am getting. it is all matching and as far as i can tell no forced matching #s. i only left a deposit so i must pay it off before i can DROS it. no problem it is all mine. i love M-44s. next i want another nice SKS.
for some reason i like russian rifles the most. they are simple and work every time.

That's $100.00 more than AIM was selling them for recently but the laminate M44s are pretty rare. If it is in pristine shape, I guess that is the going rate, but you should get your FFL03, there are better deals out there, especially when you factor in DROS and sales tax.

yes you are right, for some reason i like seeing the rifle first. i think i would get into trouble if i could order them cheep from AIM etc. if i was retired and had more funds i would do that. i am not a fan of laminated stocks on military rifles. but this one talked to me. this rifle is in very nice condition. i did not go into this store thinking i was going to get another M-44 but i new he would have a few. like a lot of us here i am hopelessly hooked on buying these guns.

Definitely post pictures. I think in the long run, this will be a very good investment, laminate M44s are pretty rare, I have only seen one in the wild.
